When people ask me what my occupation is, I struggle with the short answer they are looking for. Do I say musician? Do I say engineer? Do I say both and risk having to explain the long, winding path I’ve been on in order to find my true passion? Usually I just pick one or the other, depending on how I feel that day, but I hope to share this other piece of myself that many may not understand or know about me. For a long time, I felt I needed to choose just one path but I am no longer forcing myself to fit in one box. So, enjoy learning about a bit of my engineering background- it has continued to be one of the most challenging and special parts of my life.

Audio and music engineering, b.s.

At the University of Rochester, I earned a degree in Audio and Music Engineering while also studying saxophone at the Eastman School of Music. During this degree, I took courses on advanced recording in studio settings, sound design, audio software, audio signal processing and audio electric design. I have successfully completed several projects in each of these fields and have also had several successful internships at companies such as Quality Vision International and Apple Inc.
